Clarion – Lloyd and
Jamar Harrison combined for 45 points, 13 assists and five steals to lead the Clarion University men's basketball team to a 92-67 win over visiting Michigan-Dearborn Monday night at Tippin Gym.
Jamar Harrison scored a game-high 24 points on 9 of 13 shooting while adding five assists and four steals with
Lloyd Harrison chipping in 21 points, eight assists and a steal while shooting 7 of 10 from the floor including 2 of 2 from three-point land.
Ten of
Lloyd Harrison's points and six of
Jamar Harrison's came during a 25-8 run in the first half that allowed the Golden Eagles (4-0) to take a 45-25 halftime lead.
Clarion then started the second half with a 14-4 run and cruised from there never allowing the lead to slip under 19 points.
Paul McQueen, who earlier in the day was named the PSAC-West Player of the Week, chipped in his second double-double in two home games with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Bud Teer added eight points and 10 rebounds.
Mike Sherry contributed nine points on three three-pointers.
Doug Sharples led Michigan-Dearborn (3-9) with 19 points, 10 rebounds, four steals and two helpers. Jordan Redditt had a team-high 20 points, and Nicholas Packwood contributed 17 points and nine rebounds.
Clarion returns to action at 7 p.m. Wednesday when it hosts Pitt-Johnstown in a big non-conference game.
