INDIANA – Heather Robbins scored a pair of goals and added an assist, as IUP topped Clarion 3-0 in PSAC women's soccer action Saturday afternoon in Indiana.
Clarion did have five shots on goal, but IUP keeper Kelly Brennan turned away all five to get the shutout.
Jenna Kulik took the loss for Clarion (1-3-1 overall, 1-1 PSAC) despite making nine saves on 12 IUP shots.
IUP (2-2-1, 1-1-1) grabbed a 2-0 lead thanks to goals by Robbins at the ninth minute and at the 35th minute. Robins then assisted on a goal by Ashley Moyer in the 80th minute.
The Golden Eagles return to action at 7 p.m. Wednesday when they host Mercyhurst in a PSAC contest.
NOTES – Miller is still one point behind Ashlee Regazzi for the school record in points. She has 29 career points including 14 career goals, which is tied with Regazzi for the school record.
