Box Score SLIPPERY ROCK – Lauren Saussol made five saves in net for the Clarion women's soccer team, but a pair of goals less than five minutes apart early in the game was too much for Clarion to overcome in a 3-0 loss at Slippery Rock Saturday afternoon.
The Rock scored goals in the 13
th and 17
th minute (Lucy Hannon and Kara Mullins) and then added an insurance marker in the 54
th minute (Erin Storck).
Clarion was outshot in the contest 22-4 including 12-1 in the first half. Three of the Golden Eagles shots were on goal with
Alyssa Liebdzinski,
Casey Harsch and
Bethany Naugle recording them.
With the loss, Clarion falls to 3-8-2 overall and 1-7-2 in the PSAC. The Golden Eagles return to action at 5 p.m. Tuesday when they host Shippensburg.
