Jamar and Lloyd Harrison

Box Score

ERIE – Lloyd and Jamar Harrison became the first Clarion duo to each score over 18 points per game over an entire season since 1991, but Gannon shot 59.6 percent from the field to get an 81-68 win over the Golden Eagles in the season finale for both teams Saturday night at Gannon's Hammermill Center.

Lloyd Harrison led Clarion Saturday night with 24 points and finished the year averaging 18.2 ppg, while Jamar Harrison added 18 points and 11 rebounds and completed the season averaging 19.3 ppg. With Bud Teer averaging 11.8 ppg and Paul McQueen 10.7 ppg, the 2011 Clarion team became the first Clarion team since the 1977 squad to have four players averaging double digits with at least two of those players averaging at least 18 ppg.

In addition, Teer also became the first Clarion player since Marvin Wells in 1998 to average a double-double for the year with 10.5 rpg. He had six points and seven boards vs. Gannon.

Gannon, though, had four players score in double digits Saturday to end Clarion's season on a sour note.

Gannon led 50-33 at halftime.

Clarion finishes the season 15-11 overall and 5-9 in the PSAC-West, while Gannon finishes 15-11, 6-8.

NOTES – The Harrisons are only the fourth set of Clarion teammates to each average 18 ppg since 1969. Kwame Morton (19.7 ppg) and David Cruise (23.3 ppg) did it in 1991, Alvin Gibson (20.7 ppg) and Joe Malis (18.1 ppg) achieved the feat in 1981 and Reggie Wells, Sr. (19.5 ppg) and Carl Grinage (18.7 ppg) did it in 1977 … Teer is just the third Clarion player to average a double-double since 1980 joining Marvin Wells (13.9 ppg, 10.5 rpg) in 1998 and Dan Chojnacki (15.6 ppg, 10.0 rpg) in 1980. He is also just the ninth Clarion player to average a double-double since 1971 with Terry Roseto doing in four times from 1974-1977, Reggie Wells, Sr. doing in 1977 and Joe Sebestyen in 1971 … Jamar Harrison is the first Golden Eagle to average at least 19 ppg for the season since Rollie Smith average 19.4 ppg in 2003.
