Men's Game Notes / Women's Game Notes

CLARION – The Clarion University men's and women's basketball teams will be hosting a pair of PSAC doubleheaders over the weekend.
 
The Golden Eagles will take on Mansfield Friday with the women's game at 5:30 p.m. and the men's contest at 7:30 p.m., and then Clarion will take on Bloomsburg Saturday with the women's game at 5:30 p.m. followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m. Admission for each night is $6 for adults and $3 for students without a Clarion University ID. Admission gets you into both games each night.
 
Clarion's men's team enters the weekend riding an eight-game win streak and is 9-3 overall and 5-1 PSAC West. The Golden Eagles are led by freshman guard Winfield Willis' 17.3 ppg, the fifth-best mark among freshmen in NCAA Division II.
 
The Golden Eagle women have won two of three and are 3-7 on the season including 2-4 in the PSAC West. Clarion features local product Hannah Heeter, a red-shirt freshman forward, who leads the team in rebounding (7.5 rpg) while adding 7.5 ppg.
 
Mansfield's men are 5-5 overall, 2-4 PSAC East, while the Mountaineer women are 4-6 overall, 1-5 PSAC East. Bloomsburg's men are 9-2 overall and 5-1 in the PSAC East, while the Huskies women's team is 10-2, 4-2 PSAC East.
