Box Score CLARION, Pa. – Millersville defeated Clarion 84-57 in PSAC crossover over play Sunday afternoon at Tippin Gym.
Mike Kromka had another strong performance leading the Golden Eagles (2-3 overall, 1-1 PSAC West) with 20 points and nine rebounds, his second straight 20-point game.
Leonard Patterson added 13 points, while
Anthony Baker finished with six points and five rebounds.
Elijah Obade led the way for the Marauders (5-2, 2-0 PSAC East) with 19 points and nine rebounds finishing 8-for-8 from the floor. Larry Grant chipped in 21 points for Millersville.
Millersville opened the game on a 20-4 run and never led by 13 the rest of the way.
Clarion shot just 8 of 33 from the floor in the first half and trailed 43-27 at halftime before Millersville started the second half on a 17-4 run to put the game away.
The Golden Eagles return to action at 7:30 p.m. Saturday when they host Slippery Rock.
NOTES – Millersville shot 58.5 percent from the floor (31 of 53) compared to Clarion's 34.5 percent (19 of 55), and the Marauders outrebounded Clarion 39-32 while also blocking six Golden Eagle shots … Kromka was 8 of 12 from the line as Clarion shot 17 of 30 from the charity stripe. Millersville was 13 of 26 from the line … Millersville dominated inside with 42 points in the paint compared to 28 for Clarion. The Marauders also had 22 second-chance points to Clarion's 12 despite the Golden Eagles having 17 offensive rebounds to Millersville's 14.
