(Clarion, Pa.):  The 2013 Clarion University NCAA Division I wrestling team has a busy weekend coming up as the Golden Eagles travel to Lock Haven on Friday, then return home to host #14 rankled Bloomsburg on Sunday.
 
                Friday's matchup at Lock Haven is set to begin at 7pm on WWCH-AM (1300) and Sunday's dual is set to start at 2pm and will air on WCCR-FM (92.7). Both matches can also be heard on the internet at redzonemedia.com with Rich Herman and John Stroup calling the action.
 
                The Golden Eagles are 2-6 overall and 0-2 in the EWL under first year head coach Troy Letters. Clarion has posted wins against Eastern Michigan (21-10) and Michigan State (25-16), while losses have come against #28 Kent state (29-10), North Carolina (21-19), #20 Edinboro (28-12), #10 Northwestern (26-9), #13 Pitt (26-15) and #18 Rutgers (26-6). The Golden Eagles also placed second at the PSAC's championships in December.
 
                The Golden Eagles lineup for the weekend will feature - #4 ranked James Fleming (Sr. West Mifflin) at 157-pounds. The Golden Eagle senior has a season record of 22-2 and a career record of 114-18 – 13^th on the all-time win list at Clarion.  Kurt Angle, Clarion's former 2-time NCAA Champion and 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist is next up on the win list for Fleming. Angle was 116-10-2 from 1988-92 and currently is in 12^th placed all-time.
 
The Clarion lineup will likely have Tyler Fraley (Fr. 8-9; Freehold, N.J) at 125; Joe Waltko (Sr. 11-13; Allison Park) at 133; Devin Cook (Jr. 8-7; Bedford) or Sam Sherlock (So. 9-6; West Mifflin) at 141; Tyler Bedelyon  (Jr. 14-9; Lewistown) at 149; #4 ranked James Fleming (Sr. 22-2; West Mifflin)  at 157; Nick Milano (Jr. 3-12; Erie, Pa.) at 165; Ryan Darch (So. 5-12; Batavia, N.Y.) at 174; Steven Cressley (Sr. 7-13; Punxsutawney) at 184; Justin Ortega (Gr. 13-10; Oxford) at 197 and Phil Catrucco (Sr. 17-14; Sharpsville) at 285.
 
                Lock Haven, led by fourth year head coach Robbie Waller, has a season record of 5-4 in 2013. Wins for the Bald Eagles have come against Shippensburg (40-4), West Virginia (19-15), Davidson (31-6) and Cleveland State (19-17). Losses have come against Rider (19-14), Penn State (42-3), Edinboro (35-6) and Pitt (33-6).
 
                The Bald Eagle lineup will have Bobby Rehm (20-7) at 125, Matt Bryer (18-19) at 133, #19 Dan Neff (21-7) at 141, Mac Maldarelli (14-9), Aaron Fry (10-17) at 157, Aaron McKinney (23-19) at 165, Ty;er Wood (8-13) at 174, Fred Garcia (20-9) at 184, Phil Sprenkle (12-14) at 197 and Harry Turner (19-10) at 285.
 
                Bloomsburg, led by eighth year head coach John Stutzman, is having an outstanding year posting a 12-2 overall record, a 2-0 mark in the EWL and currently ranked #14 in the latest NCAA Division I dual meet poll. The huskies are riding a six match win streak which includes huge wins over #15 Edinboro (19-18) and #12 Pitt (19-18). Other wins in the streak have been against Buffalo (18-15), #20 Maryland (22-15), Eastern Michigan (24-9) and Ohio U. (24-9).
 
                Bloomsburg has five wrestlers ranked in the top 20 in their lineup which includes Sean Boylan (16-12) at 125, #12 Nick Wilcox (18-5) at 133, Matt Rappo (13-12) at 141, Josh roosa (14-4) or Simon Kitzis (6-9) at 149, #11 Frank Hickman (18-3) at 157, #11 Josh Veltre (25-5) at 165, Chris Smith (13-11) at 174, Andre Petroski (11-13) or Sam Shirey (6-9) at 184, #16 Richard Perry (23-3) at 197 and #15 Justin Grant (18-3) at 285
 
                CLARION NOTES:  Clarion has a 20-25-2 overall series record against Lock Haven and a 15-19-2 mark in EWL matches … Clarion won last year by criteria decision – 19-18 – over Lock Haven at Tippin Gym … In 2011 Lock Haven won 24-19 and Clarion defeated Lock Haven in 2010 33-9 in Clarion… Clarion leads the Bloomsburg series 23-18-1 and is also ahead in EWL matches by a margin of 19-16-1 … Clarion won at Bloomsburg last year 22-18.
