GYSEGEM WINS 5 EVENTS/EAGLES LOSE TO G.C. 187-145
FINAL RESULTS
(Clarion, Pa.): Clarion's
Emilee Gysegem (Jr. Warren, Oh.) won 5 individual events but it wasn't enough on Saturday as the Golden Eagles lost the season opener to Grove City by a score of 187-145 at Waldo S. Tippin Natatorium.
Gysegem had an unbelievable day winning the 100 butterfly (1:01.20,the 100 breaststroke (1:08.07), 200 breaststroke (2:29.25), 400 IM (4:38.56) and 100 free (55.69) leading the Golden Eagles.
Also winning individual events for the Golden Eagles were
Emily Ondrizek (So. Gettysburg) in the 50 free (25.33) and
Katie Querciagrossa (Peoria, Il.) in the 100 backstroke (1:04.61).
The 200 medley relay team of Querciagrossa, Gysegem,
Kelsey Slayton and
Anna McNurlen won with a time of 1:49.16, while the 400 free relay team of Gysegem, Ondrizek,
Tyler Ness and McNurlen won with a time of 3:43.76.
The Golden Eagles will swim at Carnegie Mellon on November 2
nd.
