Box Score ERIE, Pa. – Mike Kromka and Marques Jones each scored 10 points, but the Clarion University men's basketball team dropped a 67-48 decision at No. 17 Gannon Saturday afternoon at the Hammermill Center in Erie.
 
Kromka added six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 32 minutes of action, while Jones had four rebounds, two steals and an assist.
 
But cold shooting, 32.7 percent, hurt Clarion in a building where it hasn't won in three decades.
 
Darrell Blanton paced Gannon with 17 points, eight rebounds, two blocks and two steals, while Oscar Macias added 16 points and Tanner Furno 10 points and three rebounds off the bench.
 
Evan Battle added nine points and eight rebounds off the bench for Clarion, and Aaron Johnson chipped in seven points.
 
Clarion trailed 33-23 at halftime before Gannon got the lead to 20, 50-30, midway through the second half.
 
The Golden Eagles return to action at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lock Haven.
 
NOTES – Clarion is now 6-17 overall, 5-15 in the PSAC West while Gannon improved to 20-5 overall, 14-5 in the PSAC West …. Calvin Edwards hit a 3-pointer in the game giving him 88 in his career moving him into 14^th place by himself in school history.
