CLARION, Pa. – After a 12-day holiday break, the Clarion University men's and women's basketball teams return to action with a pair of non-conference PSAC Crossover games this weekend.
The Golden Eagles are at Bloomsburg Friday and at East Stroudsburg Saturday with the women's game starting at 1 p.m. each day followed by the men's game at 3 p.m. The games will be available on internet radio (weather permitting) each day. The feed can be accessed at

The Clarion men's team enters the weekend looking to give head coach
Ron Righter his 400
th career victory with the Golden Eagles. Righter, whose team is 2-6 this season, is 399-285 in his 26
th year with the Golden Eagles. In his 28
th year as a head coach, Righter has a career record of 423-309.
Clarion is led by junior guard
DeMarius Miller, who is averaging a PSAC West-leading 20.4 points per game, the third most in the PSAC. Prior to the break, Miller had a pair of 30-point contests back-to-back including a 42-point effort Dec. 15 vs. Penn State-Beaver, tying for the fifth-most points in a game in school history. It marked the first time in 20 seasons a Clarion men's player scored 30 or more in back-to-back games.
Senior
Mike Kromka is adding 13.3 points per game and a team-leading 8.9 rebounds per contest, which ranks second in the PSAC West and fourth in the PSAC. Freshman guard
BJ Andrews is chipping in 8.8 points per game.
Bloomsburg enters Friday's action with a 7-3 mark, although the Huskies lost two of three heading into the break. Dontahe Jordan, who missed the final four games before the break, was scoring 18 points per game, while Lorenzo Christmas adds 13.7 and Alssene Saintilus 12.9 points per contest.
East Stroudsburg, who faces Gannon Friday, enters action Friday with a perfect 11-0 record. The Warriors feature Whis Grant, who averages 18.1 points per game along with Rasheed Moore (13.8 ppg, 6.2 rpg) and Jamal Nwaniemeka (11.2 ppg).
The Golden Eagles' women's team will try to continue the momentum it gained before the break when it won its final two games heading into the layover to improve to 4-5 on the season.
Clarion got a boast both offensively and rebounding with the return of junior forward
Hannah Heeter, a first-team PSAC West and second-team All-Region selection last year. Heeter, who was playing for the Golden Eagles PSAC West champion and NCAA Division II qualifying volleyball team until mid-December, hasn't missed a beat averaging 13.8 points and 13.0 rebounds per game, which would lead the PSAC in rebounding by nearly two rebounds per game if she had enough games to qualify, in her first four contests with three double-doubles while shooting 65.7 percent (23 of 35).
Senior
Emma Fickel leads the team with 14.2 points per game while hitting 20 3-pointers, and red-shirt freshman point guard
