Kromka needed four rebounds coming into the game to get to 700 and finished the night with 703, the first Golden Eagle to reach 700 career boards since David Shearer in 2002.

DeMarius Miller led Clarion with 16 points, but a cold-shooting first half (36 percent) by the Golden Eagles (5-17 overall, 3-11 PSAC West) helped Gannon (17-8, 12-3) take a 39-21 halftime lead.

Gannon started quickly and led by 17, 26-9, 12 minutes into the game before Clarion fought back with a 12-7 run that saw Miller score seven of his points to close within 12, 33-21, on a Miller jumper with 1:45 left before halftime.

The lead then never slipped below 15 in the second half despite Clarion warming up in the half hitting 11 of 23 (47.8 percent) of its hsots.
