CLARION FALLS TO KUTZTOWN 3-0
(Clarion, PA) – The Clarion Golden Eagles fell to The Kutztown Golden Bears this afternoon 3-0. Clarion's Junior Midfielder
Stephanie Sikora led the way with three shots including two on goal.
The Golden Eagles ended the day with a record of (3-9-1) while Kutztown improved to (7-3-1)
The Golden Bears started the scoring early in the first half with a goal by Diana Malanga who was assisted by Alaina Curry at the 12:54 mark. The Golden Bears followed that up with a goal by Emily Ross at 14:30, Ross was also assisted by Alaina Curry. Nearing the end of the first half, Kutztown improved their lead to 3-0 as Logan Kramer had an unassisted goal from 20 yards out.
The Clarion Golden Eagles were led on offense by junior
Stephanie Sikora who had three shots and two of those were on goal. Golden Eagles junior
McKenzie Sheesley also contributed three shots.
Anna Chamberlin,
Stephanie Lias,
Marina Kelly, Maddie Myers, and
Carlee Freeburg all notched one shot for Clarion.
Clarion's freshman goalkeeper
Krista Mosi finished the day with four saves while facing a total of twelve shots, seven of which were on goal.
The Clarion Golden Eagles return to action on Tuesday October 13
th at Slippery Rock at 4pm.
