Gabrielle Olson had 12 kills,
Taylor Braunagel 11 kills,
Kaley Pittsley posted 47 assists and
Morgan Seybold 25 digs as the Golden Eagles swept California in PSAC-West volleyball action on Friday night by a 3-0 score.
Clarion raised its record to 10-9 overall and 6-2 in the West, while California is now 6-12 overall and 4-4 in the Western Division. Clarion won by set scores of 25-21, 25-13 and 25-21.
In the opening set
Abbey Cox and
Taylor Braunagel posted 5 kills each to lead the way. With Clarion leading 19-18, Braunagel posted 3 kills to boost the Eagle lead to 22-18 and the Eagles went on to win 25-21.
In the second set Clarion jumped out to a 12-6 lead breaking a 6-6 tie with six straight points.
Gabrielle Olson had 3 kills and Cox two kills in the run. Clarion went on to an easy 25-13 win.
Set three was close the entire way. With Clarion leading 22-20, Olson, Biggs and Olson accounted for the final three points in the Eagles 25-21 win.
