CLARION FALLS TO WCU 2-0 ON SENIOR DAY
(Clarion, PA) – The Clarion Golden Eagles fell to West Chester University this afternoon on Senior day 2-0. The Golden Eagles honored their lone senior,
Kelly Antonucci before the game with a special presentation with Antonucci's family and teammates.
Clarion, (5-11-1) was unable to keep their 2 game win streak alive as the Golden Rams (13-3-0) spoiled the last home match of the season for the Golden Eagles.
A scoreless first half featured two shots on goal off of free kicks from sophomore midfielder
Marina Kelly, as well as shots on goal from junior
Alissa Spencer and sophomore
Aaliyah Odom.
The Golden Eagles surrendered the first goal at 62:07 as Golden Ram forward Tayler Jamison received a pass from midfielder Haley Mangiaruga and headed it past Clarion goalkeeper
Krista Mosi. West Chester's second goal came off of the foot of freshman Linzi Wolfe at the 78:00 mark.
Mosi finished the day with 6 saves off of 14 total shots by the Golden Rams.
The Golden Eagles will travel to Bloomsburg for their final match of the season on October 31
st at 1 pm.
