Taylor Braunagel had 14 kills,
Kaley Pittsley had 40 set assists, and
Morgan Seybold had 23 digs but the Golden Eagles lost in three sets to the Edinboro Fighting Scots Saturday afternoon at Tippin Gymnasium.
Clarion dropped to 16-13 on the season, 12-5 in the conference, and Edinboro improved to 27-2 and 16-1 in the conference for the year with the victory.
Edinboro won the first two sets by scores of 25-23 and 25-21 respectively. Clarion fought back and was able to capture the third set with a score of 25-21. Edinboro was too much for the Golden Eagles to handle when Edinboro was able to clinch the match by winning the fourth set by a score of 25-21.
The Golden Eagles also got key contributions from
Marissa Robertson who had 11 kills and 13 digs,
Gabrielle Olson who added 11 kills and 2 blocks, and
Catherine Ferragonio who chipped in with 15 digs.
The Golden Eagles returns home on Tuesday November 3
rd in Tippin Gymnasium for a match with IUP.
