(Clarion, Pa.) The Clarion University Women's Volleyball team defeated Seton Hill 3-1 Friday night at Tippin Gymnasium. The Golden Eagles were led by
Mackenzie Biggs with 17 kills,
Kaley Pittsley with 61 set assists, and
Morgan Seybold with 30 digs.
With the win Clarion improves to 18-13 on the season and 14-5 in the PSAC West, while Seton Hill falls to 20-12 on the year and 11-8 in the PSAC West.
In the first set the Golden Eagles started out strong jumping out to a 19-17 lead and then went on to win the set by a score of 25-17.
The second set was a little more difficult for the Golden Eagles as they lost a thriller of a set by a score of 34-32.
The third and fourth sets were a better for the Golden Eagles as they won the third set by a score of 25-18. Then in the fourth set the Golden Eagles had to come from behind when they were down 17-12, but ended up coming back to win the set by a score of 25-23 to clinch the victory.
The Golden Eagles also got key contributions from
Taylor Braunagel who had 16 kills,
Gabrielle Olson who had 14 kills and 8 blocks, and
Abbey Cox who added 13 kills and 4 blocks.
Also for Clarion
Morgan Herold added 22 digs and
Catherine Ferragonio chipped in with 13 digs.
The Golden Eagles return home Saturday November 7
th to take on California (Pa.).
