SOFTBALL FALLS IN DOUBLEHEADER TO SETON HILL SUNDAY

CLARION, Pa. - The Clarion University softball team was swept in a PSAC West doubleheader by visiting Seton Hill Sunday.

Scoring Summary
Seton Hill scored runs in four different innings including multiple runs in the second (two), third (two) and fifth (three) and one in the fourth. Clarion's lone run came in the third when Megan Anderson singled to left driving home Carra Stevens.

Scoring Summary
Seton Hill scored in five of the seven innings and led 7-0 after 2 ½ innings thanks to a two-run first, a four-run third and one in the second. The Griffins then tacked on two runs in the sixth and one in the seventh. Clarion got its first run in the third when Taylor Powell singled up the middle driving home Megan Anderson with two outs to cut the Seton Hill lead to 7-1. The Golden Eagles then picked up their second run in the fifth, again with two outs, when Lydia Middaugh singled to right driving home Powell to get Clarion within five, 7-2.
