CLARION DROPS MATCHES TO SAGINAW & BRIDGEPORT (California, Pa.): The Clarion University Women's Volleyball team dropped matches to Saginaw Valley State and Bridgeport on Friday at the Vulcan Voleyball Invitational host at California.
Clarion's overall record drops to 0-6.
In the first match the Golden Eagles lost 3-0 to Sagniaw Valley by scores of 25-18, 26-24 and 25-18.
Kaley Pittsley notched 26 assists, while
Gabrielle Olson and
Mackenzie Biggs had 8 kills each.
Morgan Seybold totaled 13 digs.
In the second match Clarion lost a tough 3-1 match, winning the opening set 25-19 then losing three straight by scores of 25-18, 25-19 and 28-26. Pittsley had a season high 41 assists, while
Gabrielle Olson had a season high 17 kills to lead the way.
Catherine Ferragonio posted 18 digs and
Morgan Seybold 15 digs.
The Golden Eagles continue play on Saturday with contests against Truman and Fairmont State.
