CLARION FALLS 4-3 TO SETON HILL
(Greensburg, PA) – The Clarion Golden Eagles soccer club fell 4-3 at Dicks Sporting Goods Field against host Seton Hill University late Wednesday afternoon despite a goal and an assist by
Marina Kelly.
The Golden Eagle's record slips to (2-4-1) and the Seton Hill Griffins are now (3-4)
Seton Hill kicked off the scoring at 1:50 with a goal by Megan Warman. The Griffins followed that up at the 27:16 mark with a goal by Melanie Renda who was assisted by Breanna Novosel to make it 2-0 Seton Hill.
However the Golden Eagles cut the lead in half at 29:15 in the first half with an unassisted strike by
Marina Kelly from 35 yards out that drilled the top left corner of the net.
In the second half Seton Hill continued the persistence on offense as Emma Bearinger found the net at 46:29 to make it 3-1 Griffins. At 49:54 Breanna Novosel scored with the help of Hanna Marks who had the assist making it 4-1.
Clarion's
Maddie Meyers struck back at 54:14 with an assist by
Marina Kelly to make the score 4-2 Seton Hill. In the final minutes of the second half the gap between Clarion and Seton Hill closed after the ball bounced off of a Seton Hill defender and found the net making it 4-3 Seton hill.

Krista Mosi faced a total of thirty shots on the evening, finishing with twelve saves.
The Clarion Golden Eagles return to action at 2 pm on Saturday, September 23
rd in Clarion, PA to face East Stroudsburg.
