CLARION VB LOSES SEASON OPENER TO ASHLAND 3-0
 
                (Clarion, Pa.): Clarion's Morgan Seybold had 13 digs and Kaley Pittsley 26 assists, but the 2015 women's volleyball team opened its season with a 3-0 loss to Ashland University in the Fourth Annual Tony Banner Invitational Tournament at Waldo S. Tippin Gym on Friday afternoon.
 
                Clarion was swept by scores of 25-18, 25-20 and 25-17.
 
                "I thought ball control was a factor in our match," said 9^th year head coach Jen Mills. " Ashland is a very good team and they matched up well against us. I thought we didn't stay in our system and didn't get our middles involved enough in the match. We need to be more consistent."             
 
                Taylor Braunagel and Abbey Cox had 7 kills each, while Catherine Ferragonio contributed 5 kills and 9 digs.  Morgan Seybold led the team with 13 digs while Kaley Pittsley had 26 assists.
 
                Clarion will host Hillsdale at Tippin Gym Friday night at 7pm.
