CLARION SPIKERS DROP 3-1 DEECISION TO UNA
 
                (Clarion, Pa.): Clarion freshman Marissa Robertson came off the bench and posted 12 kills and 9 digs, Catherine Ferragonio had 7 kills and 14 digs and Kaley Pittsley had 28 assists, but the Golden Eagles fell short on Saturday afternoon losing to North Alabama 3-1 at the Fourth Annual Tony Banner Invitational Tournament at Waldo S. Tippin Gym.
 
                Clarion lost the opening set 25-14, lost a close 25-22 decision, rallied to win the third set 27-25 and lost the fourth by a 25-12 score.  The Golden Eagles record is now 0-3.
 
                After losing the first set 25-14, Clarion battled in the second set before losing 25-22. With the score tied at 21, UNA scored 4 of the final 5 points to secure the set. In the third Clarion showed resilience coming back from a 24-22 deficit to win. Catherine Ferragonio's kill tied the set at 24, and Abbey Cox scored the set winner on an assist from Kaley Pittsley. UNA grabbed the early momentum in the fourth set and won 25-12 to win the match.
 
                Freshman Marissa Robertson came off the bench and led the Eagles with 12 kills and 9 digs. Gabrielle Olson notched 8 kills and 3 blocks, Catherine Ferragonio 7 kills and 14 digs, and Kaley Pittsley 28 assists and 7 digs.
 
                Clarion will close the Banner Invite with a 5pm match against Indianapolis.
