ERIE, Pa. – The Clarion women's soccer team took on their third opponent in four days, falling to PSAC West opponent Mercyhurst 2-0 in Erie on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles (1-4-1) will be back in action on Saturday when they host Millersville at Memorial Stadium.

The Golden Eagles tried to find an offensive foothold against the Lakers but were unable to make much headway, with Mercyhurst keeping Clarion contained offensively throughout the contest. Clarion generated a small handful of shots but were unable to sneak one past goalkeeper Kristen Koch.

Erin Rodgers produced the lone shot on net against Mercyhurst, firing one on net in the 12th minute for the Golden Eagles. Mercyhurst responded quickly thereafter, scoring in the 13th minute off a corner kick by Rebekah Craig.

Krista Mosi was solid in net, making nine total saves on 11 attempts on net to keep Clarion in the contest. Â
