GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Clarion women's soccer team played its final road game of the 2017 season on Wednesday, falling in a 1-0 overtime decision to Seton Hill at Dick's Field. The Golden Eagles (6-7-4, 5-6-4 PSAC) will look to reach .500 for the season in their final game of the year on Saturday when they host East Stroudsburg.

Junior goalkeeper
Krista Mosi made five saves in the defeat, stopping everything thrown her way in regulation. The sole tally for either side came in the 96th minute a clearing attempt by a Golden Eagle player struck Emily LoPresti, with the deflection taking a wild hop and ending up behind Mosi.
Â
Stephanie Lias very nearly gave the Golden Eagles a goal in the opening minutes of the game, ringing one off the crossbar in the eighth minute.Â
Veronika Noyszewski followed that up with a near-goal of her own, picking up the rebound and firing at the net to force Jessica Neill into making a save. Lias added another shot on Neil in the 16th minute, but the Griffins' keeper stood tall in keeping the game scoreless.
Â
The final shot of the day for the Golden Eagles came off the toe of
Dani McNally, who was similarly stopped by Neill with just six minutes left in regulation. LoPresti ripped off two shots against Mosi late in regulation but neither got past as the teams headed for overtime.
