CLARION, Pa. – The Clarion women's tennis team closed out their fall schedule on Sunday with a dominant 9-0 win, defeating Pitt-Greensburg at Campbell Courts. The Golden Eagles (3-1) will be back in action starting this March.

The day started with a fairly easy sweep in doubles play.Â
Alivia Arnold and
Maria Snyder won the No. 1 doubles match, defeating Amanda Jepsen and Rebecca Beaumont by an 8-1 score.Â
Vinisha Reddy and
Katie Benson held off Kasey McIntosh and Kayla Morrill to the tune of an 8-3 score, and the duo of
Bailey White and
Michelle Petrilla shut out Emily Frye and Hannah Sterrett in an 8-0 win.

Arnold went on to claim a straight sets victory over Jepsen in the No. 1 singles match, giving up just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Snyder downed McIntosh in the No. 2 singles match, and Reddy cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win over Frye.Â
Bailey White won in a clean sweep over Kayla Morrill, taking the No. 4 singles match by 6-0, 6-0 score, and Benson won the No. 5 match with a 6-1, 6-0 decision. Petrilla wrapped things up with a 6-2, 6-3 win in the No. 6 singles match.
