WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – The Clarion women's tennis team returned to dual match action on Friday afternoon, falling by an 8-1 score to Daemen at the Miller Tennis Center.  The Golden Eagles (3-2) will next be in action during their spring break trip in March, starting with Kutztown on March 11.
 
Daemen took all three doubles matches on the afternoon and five of the six singles matches, with Hailey Germanoski claiming the lone win for the Golden Eagles over the Wildcats.  Germanoski won the first set over Morgan Park in the No. 6 singles match by a 6-0 score, but dropped a 4-6 decision in the second set.  She recovered to win a third set tiebreaker. 
 
Maria Snyder very nearly won a three-set match of her own, coming back from a one-set deficit to Giovanna Paschoalin in the No. 2 singles match.  She won the second set 6-3 before falling in a third set tiebreaker.
