PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Clarion women's swimming & diving team dropped a dual meet on the road on Saturday, falling by a score of 212-88 to Carnegie Mellon.

Christina Sather was dominant in the diving events, winning both the 1m and 3m Dives to rack up points for the Golden Eagles. Sather notched a score of 255.15 in the 1m Dive and a 263.03 in the 3m, notching 18 points for her team.Â
Maranda Leidwinger took second in the 1m and third in the 3m, and Miranda O'Kane and
Autumn Fotta also posted top-three finishes.

Alexis Lopez was the lone individual champion for the Golden Eagles in the swimming events on Saturday, winning both the 50 Free and the 100 IM against the Tartans. She started out the day by edging out Sophy Peng in the 50 Free, finishing in a time of 25.10 that was .03 better than Peng's performance.Â

Lopez's other individual victory came in the 100 IM, where she notched a time of 1:00.48. That was just under a full second better than the next closest competitor, Jessica Chau, who finished with a time of 1:01.44.Â

The Golden Eagles will be back in action next week in a dual meet at Bloomsburg.
