CLARION, Pa. – Slippery Rock grabbed an early lead and never looked back as they defeated Clarion 98-69 Wednesday night in a PSAC men's basketball matchup.

Slippery Rock built a double-digit lead early in the first half and led 52-24 at the break.

The Golden Eagles found some offensive success in the 2nd half, scoring 45 points and shooting 57% from the floor, but the early deficit was too steep to overcome.

Senior Cameron Grumley's 19 points led clarion, while Brandon Williams added 16 points of his own. Khari Williams also chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds in 31 minutes of work for Clarion.

Micah Till, who finished the night with 22 points and 12 rebounds on 10 of 15 shooting, led Slippery Rock on both ends of the court. The Rock also held a 53-31 advantage in rebounds.

The win was the 10th in a row for Slippery Rock who now sits at 13-3 overall and 7-3 in the PSAC.  Clarion drops to 3-13 and 0-10 in the PSAC.

The Golden Eagles will play their third game this week when they take on Gannon University this Saturday at 3:00pm in Tippin Gymnasium.
