CLARION, Pa. -Â The Golden Eagles scored off of a crossing pass just 15 minutes into the second half to break a scoreless tie and lift the Blue and Gold to a 1-0 victory over the California Vulcans in women's soccer action Wednesday night at Memorial Stadium.
Clarion improves to 3-11-1, 2-11 on the year while California falls to 1-12-2, 0-12-2.

Rachel Giannangeli finished off a crossing pass from
Dani McNally and was able to beat Vulcan goalkeeper Gianna Sinatra for the deciding goal.
There was plenty of action early in the second half, as the offense for the Golden Eagles came out of the locker room hot, firing multiple shots at the Vulcan keeper within the first 5 minutes of the half.
Cameron Rodriguez nearly gave the Golden Eagles the lead in the 8
th minute of the first half when she sent a rocket of a shot that made its way through the goal box and rang high off of the cross bar and over the hands of the Vulcan keeper. The Golden Eagles recorded seven shots in the first half, and finished with ten on the night while the Vulcans finished with eight shots, four of those coming in the second half.

Krista Mosi played all 90 minutes in net, collecting three saves on the night. Clarion recorded three shots on goal from

Dani McNally.
The Golden Eagles will play a weekend road contest on Saturday, October 20, when they travel to PSAC opponent Millersville for a 1 o'clock start.
