PHILADELPHIA, Pa - The Clarion University men's basketball team got the 2018-19 season underway Saturday evening, dropping a road contest to Division I host Drexel.

Lawrence Lemon led the way for the Golden Eagles scoring a team high 14 points in 24 total minutes played. Lemon went 5-7 from the field, pacing the blue & gold to a 42% field goal percentage. Lemon also went 3-5 from the charity stripe, while adding a block.

Clarion scored an outstanding 30 points off the bench, led by junior
Javontay Pipkin. Pipkin totaled close to 23 minutes on the floor, scoring 11 points, going 7-8 from the free throw line.

Brandon Williams and Junior
Jonathan Williams both recorded 9 points for the Golden Eagles to add to the scoring. B Williams finished the day with an impressive 50% field goal percentage. J. Williams had a great day shooting as well going 4-6 from the field, while grabbing 3 rebounds.

Stevan Rodriguez recorded a team high 29 minutes, scoring 7 points and adding a team high 5 rebounds.

Sheriff Conteh added 2 steals and 2 boards off of the bench for Clarion. Â
