SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Clarion Golden Eagles trailed just 40-39 at halftime, but Slippery Rock used a strong second half surge to pull away 82-65 Saturday afternoon.
A 6-0 run to open the second half gave Clarion a 3-point lead in the opening minutes of the second half, but Slippery Rock fought back to regain the lead for good at the 16:00 mark.

Khari Williams each scored 14 points apiece while freshman
Mason Mraz collected 7 rebounds and added 7 points for the Golden Eagles.
Slippery Rock improves to 19-6 overall and 13-6 in the PSAC while the Golden Eagles drop to 3-21 and 0-18 in the conference.
Clarion will return home this Wednesday (Feb 14) for a 7:30pm tilt against the Crimson Hawks of IUP.
