HARTSVILLE, Sc. -Â The Clarion University baseball team fell to Coker College in walk off fashion by a final score of 11-10 Friday afternoon on the final at bat of the game.

The Golden Eagles got a clutch RBI single from
Cole Shaffer to score
Matt Privette in the top of the ninth to tie the game 10-10. Â However, the Cobras struck in the bottom of the 9
th when Reilly Hall singled on an 0-1 count to drive in the game winning run.

Clarion collected 8 hits in the high scoring affair.
Brady Andrews and Shaffer both had multiple hits at the plate. Andrews led the way going 3-5.

Dillon Wolbert got the scoring started early in the first inning with a sac fly scoring 1 run.
Jeremy Frazier got the nod on the mound for the Blue and Gold allowing 5 hits and 4 runs through 3 and two-thirds innings of work while striking out 3.

Clarion picked up 3 runs in the top of the 5
th courtesy of a 3 run blast to left center field from
Cole Shaffer making the score 6-3 in favor of Clarion. The Golden Eagles tacked on 2 more runs in the top of 7
th inning before Coker answered with 2 runs of their own.

The Golden Eagles will be back in action tomorrow morning with a double-header against Alderson Broaddus, starting at 10am.Â
