LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Clarion volleyball team opened their second weekend of PSAC competition with a solid victory on the road, defeating Lock Haven 3-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-14, 25-23) on Friday evening. The Golden Eagles (11-4, 2-1 PSAC) will try to make it a clean sweep when they take on Bloomsburg on Saturday.

The teams split a pair of close sets to start the night, with the Golden Eagles getting the upper hand in the first while Lock Haven won the second. Clarion dominated the third set to the tune of a 25-14 win, and then held off the Bald Eagles for a narrow victory in the decisive fourth.

Julia Holden had a team-high 18 kills and was joined in double-digits by
Olivia Olson and
Aubrey Wrona, who each had 12 kills. Wrona completed a double-double by adding 12 digs.Â
Marissa Robertson added seven kills and 17 digs, while Chrissy Cotton had a team-high 24 digs in four sets.Â
Lauren Aichinger also came off the bench for seven kills and a .353 hitting percentage.Â
