CLARION, Pa. – The Bloomsburg Huskies scored four second-half goals to pull away from the Clarion women's soccer team by a final score of 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Bloomsburg improves its overall and PSAC record to 6-2-1 on the season while Clarion drops to 2-8 overall and 1-8 in the conference.
After a scoreless first half, the Huskies broke through in the second half with a trio of goals all just six minutes apart. Allie Barber broke the scoreless tie by putting home a loose ball in front of the net past Clarion keeper
Krista Mosi in the 55th minute.
Bloomsburg got a similar type goal just four minutes later by Mackenzie Gebhardt followed by a well-played through ball leading to a Lauren Hoelke goal to make it 3-0 Huskies.
Sam Rodkey buried home a fourth Bloomsburg goal to cap the scoring in favor of the visitors.
Mosi and
Brigid Stermel combined for eight saves in net for Clarion on the day.
Clarion will travel to Edinboro on Wednesday for a PSAC road contest at 7pm.
