EDINBORO, Pa. – Playing in a key PSAC road contest, the Clarion soccer team managed a scoreless draw with Edinboro in a double-overtime affair at Sox Harrison Stadium. The Golden Eagles (3-9-1, 2-9-1 PSAC) have another important conference game on the upcoming slate, when they host Seton Hill at Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

Brigid Stermel faced ten shots on net and made saves on all of them, as neither the Fighting Scots nor the Golden Eagles were able to find the back of the net. Counterpart Anna Voelker faced just three shots herself, the first attempt in the 60
th minute.
Clarion now has not given up a goal in any of the last two games.

Madison Spitko, the producer of one of only three shots for Clarion on the night. The Golden Eagles' other two shots came from
Meliah Roman, one in the 73
rd minute of action and one in during the second overtime period.

Edinboro had one shot in the first overtime period and three in the seconda pair of corner kicks, but each time the Golden Eagles repulsed the attempts.Â

The Fighting Scots held the advantage in most statistical categories on the night out shooting the Golden Eagles 23-6 and 8-0 in corner kicks.
