CLARION, Pa. – A lone penalty shot in the first half goal was the difference, as the Clarion women's soccer team edged Seton Hill 1-0 at home.
Clarion improves to 4-9-1 on the year and 3-9-1 in the PSAC, while the Griffins fall to 6-8-0 on the year and 6-6-0 in PSAC play.
Both teams were aggressive all day long with Clarion picking up eight fouls and the Griffins finishing with nine.
Andie Hill scored the lone goal in the 37
th minute of play on a penalty kick that she snuck past the Griffin keeper lower left ninety.

Brigid Stermel's seven saves, the Clarion back line bowed but did not halt.
The Golden Eagles finished the night with four total shots compared to the Griffins 12, seven of which were on target and despite a heavy attack from the Seton Hill offense, Clarion remained in the lead for the majority of the game.

Hill registered both shots on goal for the Blue and Gold and was clutch with the PK opportunity, while
Meliah Roman who was a pest on offense all day registered the other two shot opportunities.

A number of freshmen seen playing time today with
Jaci Bowser and
Jordan Lawrence coming in off the bench with fresh legs to give the Clarion offense another gear to maintain the lead.
Clarion will remain at home this week as the play host to Daemen College in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday, October 29. First kick is slated for 4 pm.
