The Lead
The Clarion Golden Eagles take on their second consecutive road test when they face off with age-old rival Edinboro on Saturday, Nov. 2.  Kickoff time is set for noon at Sox Harrison Stadium.

Mike Kalinowski and Joe Lodanosky will have the radio call for the game on 96.3 WKQW-FM an hour before kickoff.  Live audio streaming will be available via the WKQW website and linked on the schedule at ClarionGoldenEagles.com.

Scouting The Fighting Scots
The Fighting Scots were predicted to finish fifth in the eight-team PSAC West division, and currently sit a game ahead of the Golden Eagles with a 2-3 conference record to go with their 2-6 overall record.  The road does not get any easier for Edinboro after this week, as they are currently scheduled to end their season with road games at IUP and Kutztown, though the latter opponent may yet change.

The Fighting Scots returned one of their several All-Americans from a year ago, with safety Brandon Anderson leading the team with 74 tackles and three interceptions.  They also return talented receiver Ta'Nauz Gregory, who has 53 catches for 700 yards and four touchdowns in 2019.  He also averages 25.5 yards per kickoff return.  The Fighting Scots snapped a two-game losing streak with a win over Seton Hill last week, beating the Griffins 37-10 thanks in part to three field goals by Vicente Arriagada and an interception returned for a touchdown by Aaron Rogers.

Series History
This will be the 90th meeting between the two teams, with the Fighting Scots holding a 47-40-2 advantage in the all-time series with the Golden Eagles.  This is the oldest PSAC rivalry in the books for Clarion, dating back to the 1926 season, and Edinboro has won each of the last three meetings.  The last win for the Golden Eagles came during the 2015 season, a 36-23 road win.

Last year's game was a rain-soaked, low-scoring affair at Memorial Stadium, with the Fighting Scots breaking a 7-7 tie midway through the fourth quarter to take the 14-7 victory.  Clarion tied the score late in the second quarter on a 10-yard touchdown run by Mylique McGriff, but his counterpart Walter Fletcher ripped off an 80-yard touchdown run of his own in the fourth quarter for the win.  Sam Fareri forced a fumble and intercepted a pass on defense.
