CLARION, Pa. – The Golden Eagle men's swimming and diving team raced to an even draw on Friday night, tying with Bloomsburg 118-118 at Tippin Natatorium.
The Golden Eagles were able to rack up the points, placing multiple times throughout the night as the top two or three finishing spots.Â

"We fought to the very end," said head coach Bree Kelley. "I love their commitment to the team and to each other."

The divers got the scoring started as
Zach Schering grabbed the top spot in the 1M Dive, followed by
Jordan Morret as they duo tallied scores of  262.13 and 225.98 respectively. In the 3M dive,
Andrew Cestra took the top spot with a score of 254.25, while Schering finished with a 249.15.
Ty Rabenstein notched the first win of the night to begin the meet with a final time of 10:06.79 in the 1000 Free. Rabenstein battled back and forth with Bloomsburg's Luke Scoboria but at lap 33, Rabenstein pulled ahead for good and never looked back takin the win.
Connor Cary took first in the 200 IM, touching the wall with a final time of 1:56.44 good enough for 9 team points.
David Bocci followed up Cary's win with a win of his own in the 200 Fly, pacing the field with a final time of 1:53.01 and 9 team points, while Cary grabbed another first place victory just one event later, in the 100 Free racing to a mark of 47.11 for the first-place finish.
Bocci followed shortly after with his second win of the night, taking first in the 500 Free with a time of 4:47.21.
The Golden Eagles finished the night with a fourth place finish in the 200 Breaststroke, and a second place finish in the 400 Free Relay.  Â
"It's now time to get ready for Akron," said Kelley. "We have lots to do until then, it's time to get to work."
The Golden Eagles will be back in action when they head to Akron to participate in the Zippy Invitational on December 3rd.
