Wrestling Announces Totality of 2020-21 Incoming Class

CLARION, Pa. - Head wrestling coach Keith Ferraro announced today the full class of individuals continuing their academic and athletic careers in Fall 2021. This year's latest crop of Golden Eagle wrestlers includes 11 incoming freshmen, two Division I transfers and one wrestler - Reynold “Buzzy” Maines - returning to Clarion after a stint in the military.

Four of these wrestlers were announced as the newest members of the Golden Eagles during the early National Letter of Intent (NLI) signing period in November.

  • Placed fourth in the MAC at 184 pounds in 2019

  • Ranked 66th by Rokfin in Pound-for-Pound rankings
  • Placed second at the PIAA Class AAA championship meet as a junior in 2020, and fourth in 2019
  • 2018 Fargo Junior National Freestyle champion
  • Won two titles at the 2019 Cadet Pan-American Championships, sweeping four matches in Greco-Roman and following with four straight wins for freestyle title
