Huth's Day Highlights Women's Golf's Stay at Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Golden Eagle women's golf team wrapped up the second round of the Charleston Invitational on Tuesday afternoon, with Clarion improving by two strokes at Edgewood Country Club. The team carded a round of 378 on Tuesday, finishing in 12th place overall.

Samantha Huth continued her rise by shooting the best round of her collegiate career on Tuesday, carding an 83 over the course of 18 holes. That was the best round of the day for the Golden Eagles, and the best single round shot by a Clarion women's golfer since Christan Bowshier fired off an 80 at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic in September 2016. Huth finished the tournament tied for 29th place.

Right behind Huth was Taylor Galigher, who shot an identical round to her performance a day before. Galigher carded an 87 for the second straight round to take sole possession of 37th place.

Sylvia Stibley was the third-best finisher for Clarion, shooting a 103 on Tuesday, and Emily DeMartino wrapped up the scoring with a 105.
