CLARION, Pa. – The Golden Eagle men's and women's divers hosted their Diving Invitational on Friday night, with Clarion athletes winning three of the four events contested on the night. Clarion will be back in action in another diving-only event on Saturday, when the Golden Eagles head to Westminster for the Rich Setner Invitational.
 
Alexa Gonczi had a standout day, winning both the 1M and 3M Dives against loaded fields. Gonczi won the 3M Dive with a score of 243.05, and also took home the top spot in the 1M Dive with a score of 223.05. Anna Vogt  was the second-place finisher in both events, scoring 238.25 in the 3M and 217.60 in the 1M. Addie Restelli and Liz Brand went 3-4 in both events as well, as the Golden Eagles owned the top four spots in all of the women's diving events.
 
In the men's 3M Dive, Zach Schering hit an NCAA cut in the 3M Dive, leading the field with a 296.35. The freshman also took second in the 1M Dive, scoring a 263.60. Jordan Morrett took second in the 3M Dive with a score of 263.70, while Andrew Cestra finished second on the team and third overall in the 1M Dive with a score of 237.05.
