MANHEIM, Pa. --- The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced the complete list of honorees for the 2022-23 Scholar All-America Team and individual awards for Division I.
 
Clarion ranked among the very best in the nation in team GPA, earning a spot on the Scholar All-American Top 30 ranking list. The Golden Eagles were one of five Mid-American Conference (MAC) schools on the top-30 list, boasting a 3.4282 cumulative GPA for the roster.
 
In addition to the team honor, six members of the Golden Eagle program were named NWCA Individual Scholar All-Americans. An award that honors individual athletes for succeeding in competition as well as in the academic sphere, the six Clarion wrestlers honored in 2023 were Ty Bagoly, Austin Chapman, Will Feldkamp, Seth Koleno, Mason Prinkey and John Worthing.
 
The NWCA Executive Director, Mike Moyer, praised the recipients for their dedication to both their athletic and academic pursuits, saying, "Wrestling takes much focus and sacrifice, and we are proud to honor these wrestlers' obvious commitment to their academic pursuits!"
