Four Women's Golfers on CSC Academic All-District

CLARION, Pa. --- The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2023 Women's At-Large Academic All-District Teams today. Four Golden Eagle student-athletes – Emily DeMartino, Samantha Huth, Lauren McGrady and Sylvia Stibley – made the cut and will now appear on the Academic All-America ballot.

To earn Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must possess a grade-point average of 3.50 or better, be at least a sophomore academically as well as in terms of eligibility, and be a starter or important reserve on their team. The At-Large sports umbrella covers all sports that do not have their own Academic All-District classification.

DeMartino (3.65 – Psychology) finished up her collegiate career in 2022-23, shooting the best round of her career in the fall. She carded a 98 at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic hosted by Gannon in September.

Huth (3.81 – Nursing) had the second-lowest per-round score on the team in 2022-23, averaging a 92.3 over the course of 16 rounds. She shot a season-low 81 at the Charleston Invitational in September, the best round of the year for a Golden Eagle.

McGrady (3.89 – (Speech Pathology & Audiology) competed in 12 rounds over the course of the season, averaging a round score of 102.5. She shot a season-best 96 in the first round of the Clarion Fall Invitational in October.

Stibley (4.00 – Secondary Education, Mathematics) won her second straight PSAC Champion Scholar award, given annually to the athlete that achieves the best GPA heading into the conference championship. She also led the team in per-round scoring average, clocking in at 90.8 for the year.
