CLARION, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles women's swimming & diving team sent off their seniors in style with a resounding win on Friday night, beating Westminster 212-39 in Tippin Natatorium. The excitement went beyond the typical senior sendoffs as the Golden Eagles also broke a number of pool records and also hit an NCAA qualifying time.

In fact, the night began with a pool record, as the 200 Medley Relay team of
Zoey Beck,
Haley Miller,
Rachael Hess and
Hannah Greenway broke the previous pool record by roughly a quarter-second. The foursome touched the wall in a time of 1:47.86, breaking a record set by Duquesne in 2021. Greenway's 50 Free leg of the race would also have been a pool record, with the senior swimming a 23.47 split that would have been nearly a half second faster than her own pool record in the open event, set earlier this year against IUP.

The next pool record to fall came in the 100 Back, with
Zoey Beck leading the field with a time of 57.75. That was more than a second faster than the previous record of 58.94 set by Duquesne's Reagan Linkous in 2021. Greenway topped her performance in the relay with an even faster swim in the 50 Free open, hitting an NCAA B cut with a blazing fast time of 23.41. She touched the wall a full second ahead of
Madelynn McTeer, who took second with a time of 24.41. Greenway broke another pool record near the end of the night, hitting a time of 56.92 in the 100 Fly that broke the record of IUP's Paige Mikesell set in 2022.

Joslyn Jurski was next. She stood out in the in the 500 Free, leading the field with a time of 5:12.65 that was nearly nine seconds ahead of the previous pool record set by Edinboro's Paige Smith in 2022.
Amanda Fetsko was just behind her with a time of 5:28.55 for second.

The final pool record fell in the 200 Free Relay. The foursome of McTeer, Miller, Kutchak and Greenway finished in a time of 1:37.15, with Greenway once again finding a different gear. The senior swam the final leg in a time of 23.34.

Allison McMurray won the first individual event of the night for the Golden Eagles, taking the victory in the 1000 Free with a time of 11:30.41. McTeer followed by winning the 200 Free with a time of 1:59.93, leading a trio of Golden Eagles that went 1-2-3 in the event;
Sydney Updegrave and
Eva Molenaar were just behind her. Beck's win in the 100 Back also led a 1-2-3 finish, with
Joslyn Jurski and
Maria Wold coming in behind her; likewise,
Haley Miller,
Sarah Grimenstein and
Amanda Fetsko took the top three spots in the 100 Breast, with Miller winning in a time of 1:09.08.

Emma Dorsey won the 200 Fly with a time of 2:17.99, followed by
Eliza Sandhaus (2:24.65) and
Caitlyn Brennan (2:26.12) for the top three spots. Hess (55.49) and
Jordan Kutchak (55.81) were the top two finishers in the 100 Free, and
Maria Wold led a trio of Golden Eagles at the front of the pack in the 200 Back with a time of 2:13.71. Molenaar (2:36.11) and Dorsey (2:41.62) were the top finishers in the 200 Breast, and Hess won the 200 IM with a time of 2:17.97.

The Clarion divers also enjoyed a solid night.
Katie Madigan won the 1-Meter Dive with a score of 236.40, followed by
Alexa Gonczi (230.05) and
Taelyn Thomas (227.63). Gonczi won the 3-Meter Dive with a score of 296.4, followed by Madigan (283.65) and
Luna Castellanos (273.83).
