AKRON, Ohio ---  The Golden Eagles women's swimming & diving team completed the first day at the Zippy Invite hosted by Akron, competing in a pair of relays on Thursday evening at Ocasek Natatorium.
 
The night, as well as the entire event, kicked off with the 200 Medley Relay. The Golden Eagles' top foursome just missed out on an NCAA "B" cut, coming in 17^th in the field with a time of 1:46.27. Zoey Beck, Haley Miller, Hannah Greenway and Madelynn McTeer showed well in the field dominated by Division I competition.
 
In the 800 Free Relay, the Golden Eagles' foursome of McTeer, Amanda Fetsko, Erika Zimmerman and Joslyn Jurski took 13^th overall in the field dominated by Division I competition. They cut 15 seconds off their seed time with a 7:40.40 on Thursday night.
 
After action on Thursday night, Clarion sits in sixth place in the field with a team score of 126. Action resumes on Friday morning with preliminaries.
