GREENSBURG, Pa. — Clarion (3-8-2, 3-5-2 PSAC) battled to a 3-3 draw with Seton Hill (2-9-2, 0-8-2 PSAC) on Sunday afternoon at DSG Field, as the Golden Eagles traded goals with the Griffins in a fast-paced, back-and-forth matchup.
Clarion opened the scoring in the 8th minute when
Marisa Colondrillo sent the ball to
Ciara DiMauro, who was positioned just outside the box and fired a long-range shot into the net. The Griffins quickly responded as Lauren Mealie equalized in the 10th minute to make it 1-1.
The Golden Eagles reclaimed the lead in the 18th minute when
Hailey Dobb played the ball to Sam Kozminski, who set up DiMauro for another strike from distance — her second of the match. The goal marked a milestone for DiMauro, who set the Clarion single-season record for goals scored with her seventh tally of the season. Seton Hill answered once more in the 34th minute through Mia Lindborg, sending both teams into halftime tied 2-2.
The Griffins briefly took the lead early in the second half as Katie Pazdziorko scored in the 47th minute, but Clarion struck back quickly. Following a Seton Hill foul, Colondrillo buried a free kick from 30 yards out in the 53rd minute to bring the game level at 3-3.
Clarion maintained its offensive push in the final minutes, generating multiple chances from DiMauro and
Alyssa Aquilio.
Sage Sherk anchored the back line with nine saves, keeping the Golden Eagles in control defensively. Kozminski and Dobb also contributed assists, helping Clarion extend its unbeaten streak to two matches.
