Women's Swimming & Diving Concludes Meet at Akron

AKRON, Ohio --- The Golden Eagles women's swimming & diving team wrapped a successful four-day meet at Ocasek Natatorium with another NCAA B Cut, finishing off the Zippy Invite on Sunday afternoon.
 
Perhaps the most impressive highlight of the day was the 100 Free, with Amanda Fetsko matching the NCAA B cut time. She placed 18th in the loaded field with a time of 51.94, putting her right on top of the B cut mark.
 
Madelynn McTeer (24th), Raely Fajohn (30th), and Joslyn Jurski (31st) also competed in the finals for the event.
 
Senior Joslyn Jurski wrapped her week in Akron with a strong result, securing an eighth-place finish in the 1650 Free with a time of 17:36.67. The Golden Eagles had a strong pack presence in the mile swim, with Lily Linscheid (14th, 18:30.74), Sydney Harper (15th, 18:38.74), Addi Busch (16th, 18:46.18), and Caitlyn Brennan (17th, 19:03.62) all completing the grueling event.
 
In the 200 Fly, sophomore Rachael Hess qualified for the B Final and raced to a 10th-place overall finish, touching in 2:08.97. She was joined in the scoring column by Emma Dorsey (20th, 2:12.89) and Sarah Grimenstein (22nd, 2:14.94).
 
Eva Molenaar led Clarion in the breaststroke events, finishing 15th in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:23.76. The Golden Eagles also saw scoring swims from Elli Knausz (22nd, 2:25.53), Amelia Romano (27th, 2:32.10), and Chloe Albrecht (28th, 2:36.03).
 
In the 200 Back, senior Sydney Updegrave led the team with a 14th-place finish, clocking a time of 2:06.99. Zoey Beck took third in the C Final with a time of 2:07.71. The C Final also featured Caitlyn Brennan (22nd, 2:10.04) and Rachel Carapella (24th, 2:12.23).
 
The women's team concluded the invitational with an 11th-place finish in the 400 Free Relay. The quartet of Fetsko, Fajohn, Grimenstein, and McTeer posted a time of 3:31.53.
