Golden Eagles Place Four on Women's Swimming & Diving List

CLARION, Pa. --- The College Sports Communicators announced their Academic All-District teams on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles women's swimming & diving team placed four on the team this year, with Luna Castellanos, Alexa Gonczi, Joslyn Jurski and Katie Madigan all earning honors. All four will also move on to the Academic All-American ballot, with that team announced on April 22.
 
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or older academically and in terms of their eligibility, must maintain a 3.50 cumulative GPA or better, and must have competed in at least five competitions over the course of the season OR record at least one top eight finish at their conference championship.
 
Castellanos (3.53 – Psychology) was the CSCAA Division II Women's Diver of the Year for the second time in her career after winning the national championships in the Women's 1-Meter and Women's 3-Meter Dives in 2025. She is now a four-time national champion in her career.
 
Gonczi (3.70 – Psychology) finished her collegiate diving career with two more All-American finishes this year, taking second in the 3-Meter Dive and fourth in the 1-Meter Dive. She won the national championship in the 3-Meter Dive at the 2024 Championships and won Division II Women's Diver of the Year that year.
 
Jurski (4.00 – Computing and Engineering Technology) made her first career appearance at the NCAA Division II Championships this year, hitting four NCAA B cuts and competing at the national meet in the 1000 Free, the 500 Free and the 200 Free. She won conference championships in the 1000 Free and the 1650 Free, making her the first Golden Eagle woman to win two titles at the same PSAC Championships meet since 2013.
 
Madigan (3.91 – Computer Science) added two more All-American finishes to her mantle in 2025, taking 12th in the 1-Meter Dive and fifth in the 3-Meter dive. She is now a four-time All-American in as many attempts, finishing in the top-eight on both boards during the 2024 Championships in Geneva, Ohio.
