CLARION, Pa. --- One day after setting a program record for the best single round in team history, the Golden Eagles' women's golf team finished off their weekend with a program record for their best two-round score, winning the Golden Eagle Autumn Invitational at Clarion Oaks Golf Club.

Clarion posted a round of 322 on Sunday, just three strokes behind their 319 the day before. Those also stand as the top two rounds in program history. The tournament win was the second in program history and first since winning the Clarion University Invitational on Sept. 27, 2009.

Freshman
Rylee Thompson carried the play for the Golden Eagles on Sunday, finishing eighth overall after shooting a 77. Thompson stood out on the front nine, finishing just one over par, and then contributed two birdies on the back nine. Those came on a pair of par fives, holes No. 14 and 16. Thompson finished the tournament eighth overall.

Hannah Smith was the standout for the entire tournament, taking home a trophy for second place overall. She finished with a two-round score of 155 after posting an 81 on Sunday that included two birdies, including on the first hole of the day.
Amber Roth also shot an 81 on Sunday, placing 11
th overall with a 167 (86-81).
Kennady Norton rounded out the scoring for the Golden Eagles on Sunday, shooting an 83 and placing sixth overall in the tournament. Norton finished with a two-round score of 163.

McKayla Kerle rounded out the squad on Sunday, posting an 86 and finishing ninth overall in the field.
