Women's Swimming & Diving Kicks Off PSAC Championships

YORK, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles women's swimming & diving team enjoyed an excellent start to the 2026 PSAC Swimming Championships on Wednesday, posting a handful of all-conference performances and showcasing their depth.
 
Clarion sits in third place after one day of action with a score of 199.5.
 
Joslyn Jurski added another all-conference honor to her mantle and smashed an NCAA B cut to boot, taking second place in the 1000 Free early on Wednesday afternoon. The senior posted her best time of the season and second best of her career in the event, touching the wall in 10:14.10. That bested the NCAA B cut time of 10:22.42 and put her less than a second behind West Chester's Greta Saville. It would also rank 22nd nationally in the event after today's action.
 
The Golden Eagles' depth was on display in other events on Wednesday night. Freshman Elli Knausz came up just two seconds shy of her first ever all-conference honor, placing fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 2:06.71. Rachael Hess (10th - 2:09.75), Sarah Grimenstein (12th – 2:09.82) and Eva Molenaar (16th – 2:11.98) all posted points in the B final of the event.
 
In the sprint event of the night, Erika Zimmerman came just a tenth of a second shy of hitting an NCAA B cut in the 50 Free. She improved by 0.04 seconds off her morning prelim time to take sixth with a time of 23.72. Raely Fajohn took seventh in the B final and 15th overall with a time of 24.27, and Madelynn McTeer took 20th overall with a time of 24.30.
 
The 800 Free Relay team added a big boost to the team score on Wednesday, taking second place and finishing just 0.24 seconds shy of first place West Chester. The quartet of Amanda Fetsko, Knausz, McTeer and Jurski touched the wall in 7:38.58, just behind the Rams' winning time of 7:38.34.
