Final Day Surge Puts Women's Golf in 5th at PSACs

KUTZTOWN, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles women's golf team authored a hard final charge on the final day of the 2026 PSAC Women's Golf Championship, posting a score of 342 to move into sole possession of fifth place on the team leaderboard. Clarion climbed two spots on the board on Friday, with the team score of 342 the fifth-best round in the field of 11 teams.
 
McKayla Kerle had her best round of the tournament on Friday, shooting a team-best 82 to finish with a three-round score of 253 (85-86-82). Kerle did her best work on the back nine, shooting a score of 40 that included one birdie and just three holes over par. She made birdie on the par five No. 13 hole. Kerle finished the day ranked 17th in the field.
 
Kennady Norton had a strong bounce back from her Thursday round, cutting 11 strokes for a Friday score of 84. Norton shot 42 on both the front and back nines, making her lone birdie on the par five No. 16 hole. Norton finished the tournament with a three-day score of 257 (78-95-84) to finish 20th in the field.
 
Hannah Smith shaved two strokes off her Thursday round for her best 18 holes of the weekend, ranking third on the team on Friday with an 86. She made par on six of the nine holes on the back nine en route to putting up a three-round score of 263, putting her in 27th place.
 
Rylee Thompson rounded out the Golden Eagles' scoring with a 90 on Friday, tying for her best round of the tournament. She locked in down the stretch, making par on four straight holes to close out the round. She finished with a three-round score of 276 (90-96-90). Amber Roth filled out the team entry with a 99.
